fringes and patterns

Brigitte developed several weaving concepts and guided the realization of jacquard woven panels for the Breathing Colour exposition in the Design Museum London and of the ' A Search Behind Appearances' project in Milan. During this project the focus in weaving lay with colour and the possibility of patterning. The end result consisted of weaving constructions, showing the woven layers in the top surface of the fabric, which were often emphasized by the floating weft yarns that were being cut and changed into fringes.

During the project Brigitte worked, as part of the Jongeriuslab team,  together with weaving mills specialized in jacquard weaving.

The final colouring and patterning was by Jongeriuslab
