the weaving process

The preparation of weaving is one of the most time consuming parts of the design process.

The warping, the combing of the warp yarns and the threading of the warp yarns through the heddles and the reed.

When designing for the industry, the weave trials are always initially woven and developed on the handloom in such a way that they can directly be produced for larger sampling in weaving mills.
